Jarrod has had an exciting worldwide career in a range of creative pursuits.
Jarrod earned his Bachelor of Arts in musical theatre from Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts, a division of Edith Cowen University in Perth, Western Australia.
After graduating, Jarrod went on to perform in a number of successful stage productions around the world. During his time in London, he performed in Cats as Munkustrap, Grease as Danny Zuko, Phantom of the Opera as Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny. In London’s Royal Prince Albert Hall, he performed as Steve Baker in Show Boat.
Following his successful time as a performer, Jarrod moved to New York, where he worked under Laura Green in on Broadway in general management. He worked on a variety of high-profile productions including The Producers, Hairspray and The New Mel Brooks Musical: Young Frankenstein.
Back in Australia, Jarrod has worked in 2008 as an assistant producer on Andrea Bocelli in Concert, which toured all over Australia and New Zealand.
From 2008 to 2010, he was the executive producer for Avenue Q Australia, which was seen in over 55,000 people in cities like Auckland, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide and Brisbane.
Director of Studio Jack
While producing Avenue Q Australia, Jarrod Carland also found time to found Studio Jack, a creative design studio based in St. Kilda. Since 2008, Studio Jack has created eye-catching and stylish visuals across all visual mediums for marketing campaigns, artistic projects and branding purposes.
Based out of the Melbourne suburb of Prahran, Studio Jack has developed and executed national marketing campaigns for top tier clients all over Australia, particularly in Sydney and Melbourne. Studio Jack is known for its passion for the arts and commitment to excellent service and results.
